Chuck and Gina Sewall Donate Family Heirloom

The Sewall family has been a part of Geneva Point for four generations. They have worked, volunteered and camped at GPC. Chuck Sewall's grandmother worked in the linen room and his parents worked at GPC from 1954 to 1961. Chucks father, Charlie, was the Camp Manager and in 1962 Chuck joined the GPC staff and continued to work at GPC for the next eight years. Chuck's sister also worked at GPC and Chuck and Gina's two sons have also been on the staff at GPC. Not only have the Sewall's been part of the staff they have made significant contributions to GPC as volunteers.

In recent years, Chuck has hand crafted replacement windows for the Lakeside Dining room, the staff dining room and the Inn's cupola. In 2012, he designed and built the new window/shutters for the remodeled State Line Cabins. Just this summer, chuck has already built and installed new replacement windows for the Fireside Dining Room and improved the emergency stairs at each end of the Inn. Gina, in addition to work with Chuck on his projects, in responsible for much of the fresh paint around GPC.

This year Chuck and Gina Sewall continued giving to GPC by donating an oil painting by Richard Packer of Mount Chocorua. Chuck's parents, Charlie and Margie, purchased the painting in 1960 from the Richard Packer Gallery in North Conway. It hung over Chuck and Margie's mantel in Pittsburg for 50 years. Eventually, the painting found a place in their own home in Pennsylvania. Now the large painting is a lovely addition the newly refurbished Winnipesaukee Inn lobby.

Annual Meetings

Annual meetings are held each spring on the Saturday of the weekend before Mother’s weekend.

The annual meeting time has been changed to the spring to better coincide with the conclusion of our fiscal year and help launch the coming summer/fall camp and conference season.

The annual meeting is open to all friends and neighbors of Geneva Point. To speak or vote during the annual meeting of the corporation, you must be a member in good standing. Members in good standing are those who have made an Annual Membership contribution and/or annual Friends of Winni contribution within the past year. For members who's contact information has changed in the past year, please be sure to update the GPC office with your new information.
