Camp Winnipesaukee Philosophy
Our goal at Camp Winnipesaukee is to provide campers with a great opportunity to meet new friends, lean social skills, experience the outdoors, build self-esteem, lean and improve skills, and to become a well-rounded person in a safe atmosphere. We strive to create a place for campers that is fun, safe, and positive so they can learn the values of their self, their environment, and their community.
There has never been a greater need for camp. In today’s fast-paced, exponentially-growing, technologically-driven society, children are, unfortunately, missing out on valuable outdoor and social experiences. Here at Geneva Point Center, we realize the significant influence that a summer camp can have on a child’s life. It is a place to call your own, a place that is safe where everyone is valued and respected, and a place where memories and friendships are simply irreplaceable. That is why we feel it is our obligation to provide your child with a safe and enjoyable camp. We are accredited by the American Camping Association. The ACA is a national recognized camping organization since 1910. It is the model for safe quality camp programs. Our camps follow strict ACA guidelines and procedures promoting a safe quality camp through counselor and lifeguard trainings, child counselor ratios, waterfront safety and much more.
Geneva Point Center Camps provide campers with opportunities you will not find anywhere else. Your child will experience outdoor adventures such as canoeing, swimming, a team challenge, and nature exploration in a safe and comfortable atmosphere. While these experiences are fun and exciting, our camps will also reveal the power of cooperation, problem-solving, leadership, community, environmental stewardship, and many more valuable life skills. Finally, through camp, campers will have the opportunity to develop lasting friendships, improve self-esteem, and create priceless memories. Camp is truly an experience that will last a lifetime.
I am excited to being my second summer as Geneva Point Center's Program Director. This summer will mark my first year at Geneva Point Center, but I am no stranger to camp life. I was a camper from the age of 8 and have made a career out of it ever since! Camp Foster in Okoboji, Iowa is where I learned how to sail, become a team leader, tell great ghost stories, and ride horses. I had such an amazing experience as a camper that it led to my 4 year reign at the Iowa 4-H Center. Here I held positions as camp counselor, day camp director, lifeguard, and marketing intern. It was such a great industry that I decided that it would drive my college education. Now here I am at Geneva Point Center and excited to see your campers grow and learn through our camping programs. Please check-out our overnight and day camp brochures. Camp can change a child's life forever, so sign them up today!
With Great Enthusiasm,
